View Lyrics
The God who sits enthroned on high
the foolish in their hearts deny;
not one does good; corrupt in thought,
unrighteous works their hands have wrought.

With searching eye, the Lord in heav'n
looked down to try the sons of men,
to see if any understood
and sought for God, their only good.

From righteousness they all depart,
corrupt in thought and vile in heart;
for every man has evil done;
not one does good, not even one.

Has knowledge with the wicked failed,
that they My people have assailed,
that they delight in works of shame,
and call not on Jehovah's name?

But they shall tremble in their fear,
for to His own the Lord is near;
the wicked seek to shame the poor;
but God preserves them evermore.

O let the Lord's salvation flow,
from Zion's hill to us below!
When God shall bring His children home,
their songs shall rise to Him alone.
