The day you gave us, Lord, is done;
You call the stars and moon and sun
To sing and praise the Three-in-One
Who set their course above.

Your grace was new when dawn arose,
And grace endures when sorrow grows;
For all our fears and griefs He knows,
Who bore the cross for us.

So be our Light when shadows fall,
The Light and Life and Lord of all;
Your hand upholds both great and small
Who safely rest in You.
