Coming to Grace Music: Getty/Townend arrangements

To this point, every arrangement that we’ve posted on Grace Music has been either public domain or made available with permission from the copyright holder (Sovereign Grace Music, for example). Limiting ourselves to songs in these categories has allowed us to post everything for free and unlimited download. However, it has also meant that we were unable to post any resources for songs by a number of modern hymnwriters like Keith Getty and Stuart Townend.

Through arrangements with Capitol CMG and Music Services, Grace Music now has permission to post sheet music by these writers and others. We can do so under a not-for-profit license agreement that requires a small royalty fee per download. We’ve already been arranging songs for congregational use within our ministry under our CCLI license. Many of these arrangements will become available for purchase on our site through a secure online store.

As a ministry of Grace Immanuel Bible Church, Grace Music has been and will continue to be non-profit (you can read more about our philosophy here). The price of any copyrighted arrangements reflects the actual cost that we pay in royalties and processing fees.

The majority of the resources posted on Grace Music will continue to be free. But we’re looking forward to the opportunity to make resources available for many excellent modern hymns as well, hymns that will hopefully endure beyond our generation.

Stay tuned for new resources by the Gettys, Stuart Townend, and other newer writers! As always, you can receive email notifications when new resources are available by subscribing to our lists.
