Lo, There Is No God in Heaven

"Lo, there is no God in heaven,"
Says within his heart the fool.
Full of darkness and corruption,
Full of evil deeds, and cruel;
Full of wickedness, injustice,
There is no one who does good.

God, He looks down from His heaven;
Is there one who understands?
Is there even one who seeks Him,
Trusts in His almighty hand?
All have turned aside together.
None is good, not even one.

Have the evil ones no knowledge,
Never calling on the Lord?
They will fall in their great terror;
They will fall by God's own word.
You shall overcome your enemies,
For the Lord your prayers has heard.

Will a Savior come from Zion,
With a mighty saving hand?
Will He come to save His people,
Living in a captive land?
When the Lord shall come to free us,
All His people will be glad.
