View Lyrics
O Lord, make haste to hear my cry;
to You I call, on You rely.
Incline to me a gracious ear,
and when I call, in mercy hear.
When day awakes, I bring to You
prayers to be laid before Your view.
Then at the evening sacrifice,
my lifted hands as incense rise.
O guard my thoughts, I now implore,
and of my lips, O keep the door!
Nor leave my sinful heart to stray
where evil footsteps lead the way.
My eyes are fixed upon my Lord;
I find my refuge in His word.
Be my defense from wicked ways;
lead me in safety all my days.
to You I call, on You rely.
Incline to me a gracious ear,
and when I call, in mercy hear.
When day awakes, I bring to You
prayers to be laid before Your view.
Then at the evening sacrifice,
my lifted hands as incense rise.
O guard my thoughts, I now implore,
and of my lips, O keep the door!
Nor leave my sinful heart to stray
where evil footsteps lead the way.
My eyes are fixed upon my Lord;
I find my refuge in His word.
Be my defense from wicked ways;
lead me in safety all my days.
