View Lyrics
Lord God, have You rejected us,
the very people whom You chose?
Are You too angry now to care
how we are treated by our foes?
With unimpeded savagery
they ruined every sacred place;
remember, Lord, the crushing blows
Your people were obliged to face.
No wondrous signs now show Your might;
we hear no clear, prophetic word—
will You not vindicate Your name
where so much blasphemy is heard?
But You are the Creator God
who filled the void with life and light,
who gave the cosmic chaos form
and shaped the flow of day and night.
Remember, Lord, Your promises;
remember, Lord, Your people's pain;
remember, Lord, Your foes' contempt—
and reassert Your holy reign!
the very people whom You chose?
Are You too angry now to care
how we are treated by our foes?
With unimpeded savagery
they ruined every sacred place;
remember, Lord, the crushing blows
Your people were obliged to face.
No wondrous signs now show Your might;
we hear no clear, prophetic word—
will You not vindicate Your name
where so much blasphemy is heard?
But You are the Creator God
who filled the void with life and light,
who gave the cosmic chaos form
and shaped the flow of day and night.
Remember, Lord, Your promises;
remember, Lord, Your people's pain;
remember, Lord, Your foes' contempt—
and reassert Your holy reign!
