View Lyrics
Speak, Lord, and let us hear again
Your potent, living word;
reveal Yourself in acts of might,
and let Your voice be heard.
For evil pow'rs are hard at work:
they cunningly conspire;
Your people's downfall, nothing less,
remains their chief desire.
From every side, from deep within,
they threaten to attack;
arise, Lord, as You have before:
turn Satan's armies back.
Ignite the fire of holiness
which Your opponents fear;
like chaff before the raging wind,
Lord, make them disappear.
Then those who see what You have done
will surely seek Your face,
confessing You the Lord Most High,
the God of truth and grace.
Your potent, living word;
reveal Yourself in acts of might,
and let Your voice be heard.
For evil pow'rs are hard at work:
they cunningly conspire;
Your people's downfall, nothing less,
remains their chief desire.
From every side, from deep within,
they threaten to attack;
arise, Lord, as You have before:
turn Satan's armies back.
Ignite the fire of holiness
which Your opponents fear;
like chaff before the raging wind,
Lord, make them disappear.
Then those who see what You have done
will surely seek Your face,
confessing You the Lord Most High,
the God of truth and grace.
