While I live, my soul shall praise Him;
To my God, my heart shall sing!
Hope in none who cannot save thee:
Sons of men, nor prince, nor king.

O my soul, let praises ring!

Every man, his life escaping,
Breathes his last to end in death.
Plots and plans, all now forsaken,
With him buried in the depth.
